National Board Coaching Saturday (Virtual)

Coaching Saturdays are designed to provide space for accomplished teachers pursuing National Board Certification to complete their written portfolio components with support.

Participants will be placed in groups of 3-5 candidates in similar certificate areas with a trained National Board coach. Participants will be able to collaborate with other candidates, meet with their coach to receive feedback and clarification, or work independently in a space that is away from the distractions of their home or schools.

Participants can attend optional breakout sessions to learn more about the process. These sessions are designed by achievement data that is received from candidate score reports.

Candidates participating in Coaching Saturdays should bring:
• The NBPTS Component Instructions.
• The NBPTS Standards for chosen certificate area
• Any written commentary
• Evidence: student work samples, teaching artifacts, videos, etc.

This day is designed for candidates working on their initial attempt at National Board Certification.
