National Board Component 3 Boot Camp

"In the National Board Certification process, Component 3: Teaching Practice and Learning Environment includes a video recording and a written commentary. It also carries the most weight in the scoring rubric. Because of this, candidates who score well on this component are much more likely to achieve National Board Certification.

During this multi-day event spanning over four months, candidates will receive direct instruction on how to complete Component 3. Candidates will understand the elements that need to be covered, the types of instruction that should be evident, how to gather the needed evidence, and how to plan for Component 3. Together with the facilitators, participants will systematically complete all steps to submit Component 3. Each meeting will include opportunities for participants to collaborate with other participants and time for participants to complete items on their to-do list."
