What is the work the Arizona TeacherSolutions Team engages in throughout the year?
Members participate in learning and leadership activities throughout the course of the year. Opportunities include, but are not limited to:
● Monthly meetings, either online or in person at the Arizona K12 Center.
● Virtual book studies.
● Completion of a Professional Learning Plan to capture and share their teacher leader development through their time on the team.
● Attend, plan, and facilitate a breakout at the annual Teacher Leadership Institute.
● Engagement in social media spaces (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) around teacher leadership topics.
Do you have to be a National Board Certified Teacher to be part of the Arizona TeacherSolutions Team?
While being an NBCT is preferred, it is not a requirement.
What is the current focus of the Arizona TeacherSolutions Team?
This year, we have been learning about the tenets of positive psychology and emotional resilience to strengthen our leadership skills and capacity.
Do I have to be a classroom teacher to be part of the Arizona TeacherSolutions Team?
While we respect the opinions and views of administrators, the TeacherSolutions Team is a space for those who work directly alongside students. Educators working as classroom teachers, beginning teacher mentors, and instructional coaches are encouraged to apply.
