National Board Coaching Saturday "Plus" - Phoenix
Coaching Saturdays are designed to provide space for accomplished teachers pursuing National Board Certification to complete their written portfolio components with support.
During this event, candidates will be placed in groups of 3-5 candidates in similar certificate areas with a trained National Board coach. Candidates can collaborate with other candidates, meet with their coach to receive feedback and clarification, or work independently in a space that is away from the distractions of their home or schools.
This Coaching Saturday also includes tech support for those working on the video part of Component 3.
Participants can attend optional breakout sessions to learn more about the process. These sessions are designed according to achievement data from candidate score reports.
Candidates participating in Coaching Saturdays should bring:

- the NBPTS Component Instructions.
- the NBPTS Standards for chosen certificate area
- any written commentary
- evidence: student work samples, teaching artifacts, videos, etc.
