Coaching Saturday - Virtual

Coaching Saturdays are designed to provide space for accomplished teachers pursuing National Board Certification to complete their written portfolio components with support.

During this event, candidates will be placed in groups of 3-5 candidates in similar certificate areas with a trained National Board coach. Candidates can collaborate with other candidates, meet with their coach to receive feedback and clarification, or work independently.

Participants can attend optional breakout sessions to learn more about the process. These sessions are designed according to achievement data from candidate score reports.

Candidates participating in Coaching Saturdays should bring:

• the NBPTS Component Instructions.
• the NBPTS Standards for chosen certificate area
• any written commentary
• evidence: student work samples, teaching artifacts, videos, etc.

This day is designed for candidates working on their initial attempt at National Board Certification.
