  1. Here are three things to do to help you and your students practice self-love.

  2. Need more convincing? Check out these five science-backed reasons it’s important to love yourself.

  3. Rather than writing love poems, encourage your students to write “I am … ” poems. This free template gives specific descriptions for what to include.

  4. Both you and your students can use this PBS activity to write a letter to yourself.

  5. Doing challenging work can help your intelligence continue to develop. Remember, the brain is malleable. This growth mindset lesson from Khan Academy can help give your students a more positive image of their academic performance.

  6. Check out these 45 free affirmation cards that you can download and print for kids.

  7. For $13.74, you can get a set of 50 affirmation cards for yourself (and share them with other educators in the teacher’s lounge).

  8. ThinkApp is a free app that allows you to select daily affirmations from a list or create your own.

  9. Finally, watch this short TEDxTalk about how to love yourself to the core.
