The time is now to nominate an Arizona teacher leader.
It’s no secret Arizona’s teachers have a story to share. Whether the area of impact is community, school, district, state, national, or international, the Arizona K12 Center is prompting all leaders in education to speak up and be heard.
Because social media has become a cornerstone of communication, we’re making it easier than ever to broadcast your experiences. In 2018, the Arizona K12 Center will select six educators—within the categories listed above—to highlight in the next Teacher Leadership Report and video project. From now until February 1, use #AZTeacherLeader on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to submit your story.

Those selected will be featured in a print publication and video. Sharing your story means you agree to participate in interviews and a video and photo shoot, which will occur in your classroom, school, or place of employment. In addition, the six educators are invited to attend the 2018 Teacher Leadership Institute in Tucson, free of charge, and give an IGNITE presentation to event attendees. Individuals will be compensated for their time, but most importantly their inspiring stories will share the impact of teacher leadership on teaching and learning and encourage others to action.
Ready to share? It’s easy! Submit your story via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using the hashtag #AZTeacherLeader. Deadline to submit is Feb. 1, 2018.
