Through Arizona’s Master Teacher Program, funding is available for a limited number of scholarships for teachers to pursue National Board Certification. For the 2014-2015 cycle, we will provide four levels of funding assistance for all Arizona teachers who meet the requirements of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (i.e., hold a bachelor’s degree, completed three full years of teaching/counseling experience, possess a valid state teaching/counseling license for that period of time).
Applications will be accepted from only those individuals who have completed a National Board Pre-Candidacy class, or are currently enrolled in a Pre-Candidacy class with the intention of completing the course. These classes are typically offered free of charge in school districts throughout the state as well as at the Arizona K12 Center. Larger funding considerations will only be given to those who register to attend the Summer Institute in addition to completing a Pre-Candidacy class.
