Join us for a one-day event with Zaretta Hammond where we will learn how educators can implement culturally responsive pedagogy as a powerful approach to closing chronic achievement gaps. This approach has shown great promise in creating equitable conditions in the classroom, which leads to increased student learning. Hammond will showcase brain research as a basis for strategies that will enable educators to develop classroom environments conducive to learning for all.

Participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of how a student’s culture programs the brain to process data new learning.
  • Acquire knowledge on key moves that allow for building students’ learning operating systems, which will prepare them to become independent learners.
  • Leverage new learning to plan for future action resulting in stronger outcomes for all students.
