This session is open to any participant that attended the Arizona K12 Center's Fourth Annual Teacher Leadership institute. Individuals or teams who attended may register additional participants from their district in order to have them join their team. Other participants may register in teams of at least two individuals. 



Tools for Leading Systems Thinking in Our Schools is a follow-up to the systems thinking introduction presented during the Fourth Annual Teacher Leadership Institute in June 2009 and will be followed by four webinars on

Tuesday, May 11 (4:00 – 5:00pm)
Tuesday, May 18 (4:00 – 5:00pm)
Tuesday, May 25 (4:00 – 5:00pm)


The workshop will provide an extended introduction to systems thinking and its connections to critical leadership skills and school improvement efforts. The session will review the principles of Systems Thinking and provide opportunities for the participants to work together to refine their knowledge and skills.  
 
During the workshop, participants will:
•    Develop skills and knowledge in the use of systems thinking concepts and tools.
•    Experience, practice, and discuss interactive, inquiry-based professional development and school improvement strategies.
•    Use systems thinking tools to analyze complex issues and identify high leverage interventions.
•    Develop and share a plan of application relevant to school leadership.
